There is a point where the desire to diversify derails us into making poor decisions, like when the old gangsters started moving drugs and never paying taxes. The sneaker game has me feeling this way at times, like the typecast actor I fear my sneaker game will end up being an only Nike collection. Then I take a moment and realize unlike actors I’m not auditioning for anything so if my self selected genre’s Nike than I’ll be the Marlon Brando of Nike heat. If people got a problem with too much Nike admiration we’ll have them “swimming with the fishes” here at #heatonfeet.
The Nike Air Max 90 is always in control of its destiny and the new colorways are looking to expand on the moneymakers of the past. The Armory Blue-Laser Orange scheme comes in premium leather and mesh. The armory blue dominates the midsole with the contrast of white, light blue covers the Nike swoosh and by the laces. My favorite part of the shoe is the accents of orange throughout this pair of kicks. The orange is subtle on this shoe and like films when there is an orange in the scene something’s about to go down. The Armory Blue’s bring that lethal symbolism to your feet putting fear in the hearts of competition.
The Nike Dunk SB could be the sole topic of this blog for a year and have the same amount of relevant content as all the major sneaker brands. The designs are always world class and the upcoming “Black Rain” scheme is a testament to that. The black upper along with the translucent blue swoosh look great in contrast to the white and tan sole. The tan sock liner adds a unique accent to the overall black leather base. The water droplets on this shoe are part of the design which is what sold me on these SB’s. I’d put my fear of creases on the back burner to rock these everyday it’s a sad realization that a 1989 Michael Douglass film is the closest I’ll get to “Black Rain” with my current salary.
The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 lineup brought out the crack of basketball performance shoes, I ain’t even tried em and I’m hooked. My relationship with the new Volt edition is peculiar; I was a right shoe size away from buying the Hyperdunk in red. As there was no size 10 at ShoePalace that day I walked away with a pair of Lebron X Volt’s because I just had to have hoopin shoes that moment. When I saw the Hyperdunk Volt was releasing I was forced to rethink my attitude on patience. The Hyperdunk is premium efficiency and performance on the court and their recent Kyrie Irving player edition is stupid fresh. I had my eyes on the Shanghai edition of these for a while but they’re stuck in Asia, it seems the Hyperdunks are always one step ahead of me much like the players who rock these on the court.
“I try to get out and they pull me back in!(Al Pacino)” Nike made me offers I couldn’t refuse my whole life even if I swayed once in a while they always had the sneaks I coveted. I’ll have to see the Don about a favor to get my hands on this upcoming #heatonfeet.
